Chanel Le Volume de Chanel in Noir and Blue Night
What it is supposed to do
This mascara is supposed to provide volume, lift, nourish, strengthen, and curl. Big claims!
About
It received 4.9/5 stars on norstrom.com. It’s $32.
Chanel Le Volume de Chanel mascara has:
- A snowflake brush
- Intense color and volume
- Plumps lashes
It also washes off with soap and water, which is a plus for me!
The Wand
This wand is one of the best out there. It has long and short bristles mixed together to allow access to all of the lashes. I think that the design of a mascara wand is important and half of the battle when trying to find a good mascara.
Application and Formula
Formula is key and this one surpasses my expectations. I love the formula. Regardless of color, the formula is consistent. It isn’t clumpy, but also not super thin and watery. It adheres to the lashes quickly, allowing for a quick application.
The application is super easy with a great wand and formula. You can’t mess it up. Really, you can’t.
Don’t forget to curl those lashes with the eyelash curler first! Take a hairdryer to your curler to provide a little heat to hold the curl of those lashes. You’ll be surprised at how well that works!
Real Life Wear
No flakes or smudges over here! This formula stays put, but it isn’t waterproof. It also isn’t the easiest mascara to reapply just because you really don’t need to. I think that its one of the best ones on the market right now.
Removal
Two things – cleanser and water. It doesn’t really matter what type of cleanser you use. I’ve used many such as oil based, gels, foams, etc. All of them have taken this one off!
Overall Thoughts
Fantastic mascara. Both colors are gorgeous! I loved trying a different color though. It really makes my eyes pop! I’m such a fan and definitely believe it is well worth the price.
Have you tried this one? I know it is many people’s tried and true!
Wishing you all the bright fireflies,
Jennifer
