Chanel Makeup Haul and Try On

My best friend, Sarah,  and I have been friends for over a decade.  Yes, crazy, I know, but we became friends when we met in our sorority in college and we’ve been friends since!

One thing about Sarah, she will tell you herself… she keeps it real.  She’s always giving me great advice or lending an ear to hear me yap about something.  We’ve been through college, boyfriend breakups, my wedding, her wedding, fun double dates, my two kids being born, her little one’s birth, multiple moves, and more!

It’s funny, we grew closer, even when we lived over three hours apart.  Luckily, since we moved to the coast over a year and a half ago, we are only about 45 minutes to 1 hour away, so we are able to see each other more!

We planned our (much needed) girls night out a couple of days beforehand.  I called my friend Vernon, a makeup artist (with over 20 years of experience), at the Chanel counter and made an appointment so that we could stop by and see the new launches.  Sarah loves learning about techniques too, so we sat down in the chair and Vernon started sharing the newbies from the gorgeous Chanel line.

Here are a few that we learned about and I had to try!

Chanel Les Beiges Sheer Healthy Glow Moisturizing Tint

This sheer healthy glow moisturizing tint is beautiful.  I got to try it on and it was absolutely stunning.  It was a must buy.  Hands down.

Chanel Le Blanc Light Creator Brightening Makeup Base

WOW.  This was incredible.  Vernon used this to brighten as a primer first, but then mixed it with concealer to give a lift to the under eye area.  This made my eyes so bright and alive!  I loved the look.  Yes, it came home with me too.

Chanel Powder Blush 360 Hyperfresh

How beautiful is this blue toned blush?  I think a blue toned blue is so beautiful.  It gives such a healthy glow and makes your cheeks pop!

Chanel Highlighting Powder Rosy Gold

Speaking of glow, who doesn’t love a beautiful highlight?!  A rose gold hue is the perfect beachy summer look I can’t wait to wear!

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Natural Eyeshadow Palette Light

It’s pigmented, but not too much… the perfect hue of purple, pinks, and mauves.  I was so excited to pick this one up!  These shades complement each other so nicely and it blends like a dream!

Chanel Rouge Coco Stylo 228 Poesie, Chanel Le Crayon Levres 91 Rose Delicat, & Chanel Rouge Coco Gloss 96 Magnolia

These three lip products are ones I would never pick myself.  I’m the neutral, rosy, mauve, brownie girl.  I promise I have too many lipsticks of this color, but it is a go-to for me, so oh well!

I love that this took me out of my comfort zone.  This combination with the lipstick, liner, and gloss make a perfect nude, pink, coral lip.  I’m loving this!  It is a beautiful combo for Spring/Summer!

Chanel Lotion Confort

One last newbie I decided to try was this beautiful Lotion Confort.  WOW, this stuff is awesome!  It really hydrates but it also gives a nice finish, like a tonic, to the cleanse.  It has some cool technology that we learned about to help fight off pollutants as well.  I was sold.

I created a look with the products above.  Let me know what you think of it in the comments!  I am still learning how to use them all, but Vernon was a great teacher!

We had a blast at the makeup counter.  We had dinner, went shopping, talked about life, and just had some good girl time!  It was so much fun!

Let’s just say, she’s a really good friend… one of those lifetime friends who I am grateful to have!

Wishing you all the bright fireflies!

  1. Love the look and all the products. What type of finish does the LES BEIGES SHEER HEALTHY GLOW MOISTURIZING TINT have? I’m wondering if it’s good for oily skin.

    • It is more of a light-medium coverage, but buildable. It is a tinted moisturizer, but I feel like it has something to it and not just a moisturizer that rubs off quickly. Wears well throughout the day too. I like it! I have dry skin, so I am unsure how it would work for oily skin. Definitely worth getting a sample thought to try!
