With natural curls, and thick, color-treated hair, I’m always looking for a really good conditioner. I’m also always trying to keep my color as vibrant and beautiful as long as possible.
These three products are my tried and true. They work, and my hair thanks me for it.
Kristin Ess Extra Gentle Conditioner:
My love affair with Kristin Ess’ products is not a surprise to anyone that follows me on Instagram or reads my blog. I love her hair care line. I haven’t found one product that hasn’t worked for me. This conditioner is no different. It is hydrating, detangles, and makes my hair soft, but not oily. It’s the perfect balance for my thick, curly hair.
Also, the price point is good. Her products are in the $10-$20 range, and for the quality, it’s a steal.
Confession: Until a couple of months ago, I had never heard of this brand. I know, it’s sad… because this is SO good! This is Davines, an amazing brand that I have a lot of respect for. Here’s why:
“Davines Group was founded by the Bollati family in Parma, Italy in 1983 as a high-end haircare research lab. After a decade of honing our expertise and formulas, the Davines brand was created. Since the start, we’ve focused on crafting quality products that are scientifically engineered for effectiveness and express our distinctive style and spirit. As a B-Corp company, we make everything with special attention to and respect for our environment. Davines products are still made in Parma today with a combination of the highest-quality natural ingredients and scientific rigor. As firm believers in curiosity, open-mindedness and exploration, and with a high regard for culture in all its forms, we are constantly developing concepts and products that challenge the mainstream conceptions of beauty. Though we are an international company, our roots are planted in our heritage as a family-owned lab, guided by the desire for quality products with timeless appeal.” From www.us.davines.com
I received this conditioner in a gift bag we won in an auction at my kids’ school. I’m so glad I did!
A few points to note:
- It smells amazing. So clean, and beautiful.
- It WORKS. This gets through my tangles and deep conditions. I absolutely love this.
What else is there to love?!
Y’all. Yes, this is it!
Don’t you love how your hair looks and feels after you get your color done (if you do)? Isn’t it so shiny, healthy, and beautiful? How would you love to have that without going to the salon for color every single time? This product will do all of those things. It is a glaze, similar to like the one you can get when your hair is colored, and it is magical.
First, the smell is great! All Oribe product have a beautiful smell that just makes me happy.
Second, the glaze makes your hair not only look gorgeous, but FEEL gorgeous. It FEELS healthy.
It is expensive? YES, very much so, but I feel as though it is worth it. I don’t use it all the time, so I definitely get my money’s worth. It’s such a great addition to keeping your color vibrant and beautiful between salon visits.
I can’t rant and rave enough about these three items. Not only do they nourish and do great things for my hair, but they are also fun to use. I love beauty products, and the experience of using them is what makes it so much fun!
What are your favorite beauty products for haircare?
Wishing you all the bright fireflies,
