Dr. LEVY Switzerland 3 Deep Cell Renewal Micro-Resurfacing Cleanser

Dr. LEVY Switzerland 3Deep Cell Renewal Micro-Resurfacing Cleanser

Do you have a “holy grail” cleanser(s)?  I have a few that I love and that are good, but there’s only a few that are in the “repurchase” category.  Plus, there’s just so many I want to try and so many different types, it is hard to fit it into a “holy grail” category.

This is a cleanser that I’ve been trying recently.  It is called the 3Deep Cell Renewal Micro-Resurfacing Cleanser and the creator is Dr. Phillip Levy, a dermatologist based in Switzerland.  He had a Noble Prize discovery – that aging is reversible. (cultbeauty.com) WHAT?!

I received this product in a Cult Beauty gift with purchase.  At first, I was intrigued.  I love a 3 in 1 product.  It’s always fun to use a product different ways.

Description:

Dr. LEVY Switzerland’s innovative, multi-action 3 Deep Cell Renewal Micro-Resurfacing Cleanser provides gentle cleansing, intensive micro-resurfacing and acts as a skin-renewing ‘Fast-Mask’ to ‘re-boot’ lacklustre complexions. With glycolic and lactic acids to dissolve the glue that sticks dead cells (and grime, pollutants and bacteria) to the skin’s surface, alongside organic rice extracts to physically polish, this instantly refines and brightens while kick-starting renewal to promote that enviable, fresh-faced radiance.” (from http://www.cultbeauty.com)

Ingredients:

Aqua (Water), Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Glycolic Acid, Stearyl Alcohol, Lactic Acid, C12-13 Alkyl Lactate, Sodium Hydroxide, Steareth-2, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cetyl Alcohol, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Powder, Triceteareth-4 Phosphate, Benzoic Acid, Sodium Pca, Xanthan Gum, Propylene Glycol, Peg-150/Decyl Alcohol/Smdi Copolymer, Phenoxyethanol, Cetyl Palmitate, Glyceryl Stearate, Steareth-21, Ethylhexylglycerin, Chlorphenesin, Parfum (Fragrance), Disodium Edta.” (from http://www.CultBeauty.com)

My thoughts:

It’s a very gentle cleanser.  It cleans, exfoliates, and acts as resurfacing agent.  I like it.

I like the fact that it doesn’t take long to use.  You don’t have to leave it on for 20 minutes for it to be used as a “mask.”  You can clean your face, leave it on for a bit, and then rinse it without it taking a long time.

I always like a balm to help remove makeup and follow with a more soothing or deeper cleanse, like this, depending on the day.

I’ve been using this a couple times a week for a few weeks and I really enjoy it.  It can be used daily, but it says to not use it as a mask more than 3 times/week.

And the results… it works.

My face feels smooth, plump and not tight at all.  It also still feels clean but not stripped.  I find myself reaching for it more and more.  Although fragrance is listed as an ingredient, there isn’t a strong smell and it isn’t irritating to my skin.

Overall:

I am still deciding if I would repurchase.  I’m probably 85% sure I would.  I really like it.

Is it a “holy grail?” Not yet.

Would I recommend you try this?  YES!

Could it be a “holy grail?”  It’s in the running!

Wishing you all the bright fireflies,

Jennifer
