MAC Goldbit and Kid Eye Shadows and Swatches

I remember that MAC eyeshadows were some of my first…

What I didn’t realize at the time was how good they really were.  Now, in my 30s, I had forgotten about MAC eyeshadows.  I know… I can’t believe it either.  This was, by all means, not intentional, but there were so many other eyeshadow brands that I wanted to try.

I was inspired by a fellow friend on Instagram, Emily (@themilyward – she’s got great style and is a beautiful person on the inside and out!).  I did what any beauty, makeup, skincare lover would do… RUN, not walk, to my nearest MAC counter to look at ALL THE shadows.

What did I pick up?  Keep reading!

I picked up two eyeshadows from their new “Throwback” line, which was very fitting for my current situation.

The veluxe/matte shade is called “Kid.”  This is a great transition shade.

The lustre shade is called “Goldbit.” This is perfect for an everyday eyeshadow look.

The swatches are gorgeous.  The matte shade is so creamy and not patchy at all.  The gold is a perfect gold, with small sparkles to highlight your eyes.

These are the only two MAC eyeshadow colors that I have right now.  What are some other good shades to invest in?  I have these in a Z-palette right now, but I might create my own palette.

Wishing you a beautiful week and all the bright fireflies,
