I am VERY particular about mascaras. I was fortunately blessed with long eyelashes, and I have a certain way that I like my eyelashes to look. It’s just a part of me…who I am.
Today I am rounding up the top mascaras of 2017 that I have tried (key words). I am sure there are others that I haven’t tried yet, but I am loving these mentioned in this post. I even picked my very favorite!!! Read on to see what it is! 🙂
First up is the Marc Jacobs’ Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara and it is AMAZING. It is literally one of the best out there. It’s high-end, coming in at $26 a tube. This is a sample that I have been using. I already used up my large ones! Ranks 9/10.
I really love the Stratosphere Volumizing Mascara by Lune and Aster (you can find at Blue Mercury). It has a very thick brush which holds the product well. It also is gluten-free, vegan, and paraben-free. Plus, it is $20, so not as expensive as the others. Overall, 8/10!
YSL’s The Shock is an incredible mascara that packs a big punch! It is truly black. You only need a few coats of this. The only thing that I have a hard time with is the fact that a lot of product collects on the brush itself when you go to apply it. This makes it hard to get into every lash and not clump. I just take a clean wand and brush through the lashes. This does the trick! It doesn’t transfer or flake either. It’s very nice! I give it a good 8/10.
Coming in at #1 is the Monsieur Big mascara by Lancôme. It deserves a clear 10/10 for a solid formula, no clumping, no flaking, easy removal, and amazing brush. I adore this mascara for so many reasons as mentioned, but it also literally makes your eyelashes BIG! It’s a must try if you have the opportunity. $25 on the Lancôme site.
What are some of your favorite mascaras? I like a formula that makes the lashes long, thick, but natural (ish).
Wishing you all the bright fireflies,
