Let’s Talk Lipstick

I don’t know if you have figured it out by now, but I love a good lipstick.  I tend to not venture out very much when it comes to different colors.  It is usually a nude or neutral of some sort that I have in my stash.  These are a few that are ones I gravitate towards and have worn for a while now.

First up is Charlotte Tilbury’s lipstick in Pillow Talk.  I first fell in love with this lip liner.  When Charlotte came out with a lipstick, it was a must buy.  So, here I am, providing a rave review about this, because, well, it is well-deserved.

This is a comfortable matte finish with a beautiful neutral color.

I’ve been loving this Tatcha TWILIGHT: a cherry blossom lipstick (top swatch).  It’s the perfect light mauve pink color that is the “your lips but better shade.”  Like I said before, all of these shades are really in the “your lips but better” category.  I just don’t think you can really have enough, can you?  (Don’t answer that! :))

Bobbi Brown Brownie

Forgive me if I get slightly sentimental here, but Bobbi Brown Brownie will always hold a special place in my heart.  This is the first time I actually went to the counter and picked it out in the department store.  Guess who bought it for me?  My Father.  He has good taste!  It was one of the best gifts I have ever received, and it still is, to this day, one of my favorite colors that I wear.

Now, we’re getting crazy.  This deep berry from Bobbi Brown is one of the darker shades that I own.  I don’t own too many darker shades, but this is such a beautiful, rich color.  I have found that this shade layers very well.  You can apply it shear or very dark.  I love the versatility of this particular shade.

I have one or two reds that I own.  I am really exciting, I know.  I really want to try other shades. What are your favorites?

Wishing you all the bright fireflies,

Jennifer
