I feeling really excited right now. I mean, I can’t help it. I can’t wait to tell you my thoughts about the Pat McGrath Mothership II Eyeshadow Palette – Sublime. Let’s get into it!
Let’s start talking about the packaging, shall we? It is the definition of luxury. It is sturdy and heavy, with a gorgeous black and gold design. Opening this up was such a “WOW” moment!
The colors are like nothing I’ve tried before. They are truly unique. The green really caught my eye when I was trying to figure out which of the three to purchase. It comes with 10 shades, which have a mix of metallic, shimmers, and mattes.
I purchased this palette for $125 from Sephora and it is made in Italy.

Skinshow Glow – Beautiful creamy white/beige with shimmer, great highlight shade!
Copper Toned – Looks less copper in the pan, but swatches just like the name! Smooth and very pigmented (as are all the shades), this is a staple in the palette!
Iconic – Looks darker in the palette and was pleasantly surprised that this has turned out to be the PERFECT transition shade in the crease. Beyond pleased!
Bronze 005 – Metallic glitter warm bronze shade that does NOT disappoint. Use a little or a lot – it’s really your choice and you cannot go wrong!
VR Nectar – A peachy, pearl bronze with a metallic glitter finish. So pretty!

Xtreme Black – Very pigmented and creamy black. Blends like a dream and is great to use as a liner.
Dark – Matte, pigmented, no fall-out = dream eyeshadow!!!
Rose Dark – Gorgeous purple with a hint of gold sheen, but not too much! This shade is packed so well that you cannot even tell that there was a shimmer to it until you swatch it!
Blitz Emerald – Emerald green glitter packed shade with a bit of black undertone. Absolutely stunning! I have used it as a liner and loved it!
Astra Ghost Orchid – You would think that this would be a boring everyday shade that you could probably find in ANY palette out there. I am here to tell you no, no, no, not true! This white, metallic glitter with a pink/pearl sheen provides the perfect highlight or topper to any look!
Overall rating for this palette? A++
It’s my favorite palette, worth every penny, and I would love to have them all! I am extremely impressed with Pat McGrath’s palette and its performance. You can tell that a lot of time and effort went into this palette and I am glad that she was able to share it with us!
Have you picked one up? What are your thoughts?
Wishing you all the bright fireflies,
Jennifer
