The Jaclyn Hill Palette: A Review

Jaclyn Hill is a very talented and successful YouTuber who recently developed her own eyeshadow palette in collaboration with Morphe.

The Jaclyn Hill Palette retails at $38 for 35 eyeshadows.  There are an array of shades and finishes which include mattes, shimmers, satins, foils, and glitters.

This palette was very hyped and sold out almost immediately after it first launched.  I purchased this months after it originally launched as it was difficult to obtain.

I have used many (almost all) of these shades for daily wear.  There are a few I haven’t dived into just because I haven’t really gravitated towards those particular shades (the turquoise shades).

The colors are really nice and very wearable.  They blend well and provide good color payoff.  There are a few of the matte shades that do not swatch well, but they apply, build and blend with ease.  There isn’t much fall out either, but for me, that’s neither here nor there.  I don’t really judge on a whole lot of fall out as long as it blends well, provides great color, and isn’t patchy.

Ok – let’s get to the swatches.  Please note all of these were taken in warm lighting.

I really love this palette.  I think it is versatile, fun, and a great value.  The only two cons I would say are:

  1. I would love to have a mirror.
  2. It’s really big for travel.

Overall, this is a great palette and I would definitely would try this out if you are looking for something a little different.  Have you tried Jaclyn’s palette?

Wishing you all the bright fireflies,

Jennifer
